HVAC Control Systems

Automation, sensors and controllers that keep HVAC efficient and stable.

We design, wire and commission HVAC control systems — thermostats, sensors, actuators and DDC controllers — so air handling, chilled-water and ventilation plant hold their setpoints and run efficiently without constant manual intervention.

HVAC controls that hold their setpoints

Plenty of HVAC plant in Abu Dhabi is mechanically sound but badly controlled. The symptoms look like a plant problem — running constantly, never quite reaching temperature, uneven floors, rising bills — but the cause is a drifting sensor, a failed actuator, or a control strategy that was never properly commissioned.

Diagnosing the controls first is usually the cheaper path, and often avoids replacing plant that had years left in it.

What we install and commission

  • Thermostats, temperature and pressure sensors, and humidity sensors
  • Valve and damper actuators
  • DDC controllers for air handling, chilled-water and ventilation plant
  • Control panels, wiring and field terminations
  • Scheduling, setpoints and control-loop tuning

Retrofit rather than replace

Sound mechanical plant can nearly always keep working. Adding modern sensors, actuators and controllers to an existing system costs a fraction of replacement and recovers most of the available efficiency — particularly where plant currently runs to a fixed schedule regardless of occupancy or load.

Commissioning is part of the job

Wiring a control system is half of it. We set up the strategy, tune the loops and verify the system holds its setpoints under real load before we hand it over — because a control system that was installed but never commissioned will drift straight back to running flat out.

Common questions

Why is my HVAC running constantly but not holding temperature?
That is usually a controls problem rather than a plant problem — a drifting sensor, a failed actuator, or setpoints and schedules that were never commissioned properly. It is worth diagnosing the controls before assuming the plant needs replacing.
Can you upgrade controls without replacing the existing plant?
In most cases yes. Retrofitting sensors, actuators and DDC controllers onto sound mechanical plant is considerably cheaper than replacement and usually recovers most of the available efficiency.
Do you commission the system after installation?
Yes. Wiring is only half the job — we set up the control strategy, tune the loops and verify the system holds its setpoints under real load before handover.
